The FAM Network is a free program for first generation students at the University of Alabama designed to connect students with alumni mentors (UA alumni and friends) who work in their intended career field. Alumni and students’ will meet virtually or in-person throughout the academic year to provide guidance with students’ personal and professional development and goals. The frequency and format of meetings is up to the discretion of each student-mentor pair (However monthly meetings are recommended and optional monthly themes will be provided to help guide mentors and mentees). The student-mentor pairing will last until April 2023 but students and mentors are free to continue their relationship beyond the program end date. Pairings will be based on availability of both students and mentors. Please contact famnetwork@ua.edu with any questions. Student and Alumni sign-ups are now closed for 2022-2023.
