Caitlyn McTier, SGA’s Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, is excited to launch the application for this year’s DEI Certification! Even though programming will look a little different this year, we are still extremely excited to announce registration for the virtual program, as well as the introduction of the Individual Certification program. The DEI Certificate Program is an opportunity for you to be proactive in your involvement with ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion on our campus. You have the unique opportunity to equip yourself with the tools and resources to become a more diverse member of our community. Through full participation and engagement with the program, you will be given optimal educational instruction in many facets of diversity including topics on race, LGBTQIA+, disability, and much more.
Throughout these unprecedented times, our cabinet wants to emphasize the importance of the advancement of our campus and the individuals who make it what it is. Now more than ever, it is critical that we have meaningful conversations with each other to discover similarities and celebrate differences. Teralan Matthews and Elijah Thomspon, the Directors of the DEI Certificate Program, are thrilled to extend this opportunity to our student body, and we hope you consider joining us. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
