Vice President for Student Affairs
Clay Martinson, grew up in Huntsville, Alabama, and is the son to Doug and Lauren Martinson. He is third generation student at the University where he is studying History with a minor in Civic Engagement and Leadership. Last term, he served as the Associate VPSA, where he got to learn the ropes of the Student Affairs cabinet, and is ecstatic to be serving as the VPSA this year. Clay is looking forward to meeting with his constituents throughout his term, and can’t wait to make a change at the University.
Vice President for Academic Affairs
Ross D’Entremont is a senior pursuing a Masters Degree in Political Science through the University’s Accelerated Masters Program. Originally from Beaumont, Texas, Ross has hopes of attending law school after graduation. His interest in Academic Affairs has prompted him to serve two terms as VPAA, as well as encourage him to further his research on Cuban education policy and reform.
Vice President for Finanical Affairs
Clay Gaddis is a junior from Scottsboro, Alabama majoring in Public Health on the Pre-PA track. Clay has served in SGA for three years, filling positions in First Year Council, as Senate Pro-Tempore, and Vice President of Financial Affairs, consecutively. Clay is excited to serve his fellow students this year in his new role.
Vice President for External Affairs
Harrison Adams is a Junior from Selma, Alabama majoring in Economics and Finance with a minor in Social Innovation and Leadership and a Specialization in Public Policy and Law. Harrison is a University Fellow, and is so excited to serve the students of the Capstone this year as Vice President of External Affairs!
Alex Sample is a junior studying public health and on the Pre-Physician’s Assistant track from Ponte Vedra, FL. As Executive Secretary, Alex can’t wait to help the student body invest in making campus a better place! She previously served as Director of Communications to the VP of External Affairs, and most recently was one of the Executive Directors of Engagement. Alex hopes to attend either PA school or Law school upon graduation and work as a Physician’s Assistant in Neonatology or become a Public Health Attorney. She is so grateful to be involved in SGA and is looking forward to making a difference here at the Capstone.
Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Jay Little, is a native of Artesia, MS. He is a senior at The Capstone pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Civic Engagement and Leadership. Little is also a member of the STEM Path to MBA Program and University Honors. He has previously served within SGA as Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and First Year Council President. Jay is actively involved in the UA community as a member of NSBE, ACM, BSU, The Blackburn Institute and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. This year, Jay is excited to focus on the creation and implementation of programs on UA’s campus and facilitate the strategic development and execution of the initiatives of both the executive council, cabinet and SGA.
Chief of Staff
A senior hailing from Mountain Brook, Alabama, Charlie currently pursues a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration. Charlie served as a First Year Councilor, Senator, and Vice President of Financial Affairs before his current role as Chief of Staff. He specializes in the financial areas of student governance and hopes to continue using his skills to further the SGA and other student organizations.
