Josie Schmitt is a senior from Chicago, Illinois majoring in Accounting with a Computing Technology Applications minor. Josie has spent her time on campus making a significant impact on both the student government and the broader community. As the Executive Vice President, Josie oversees various aspects of student life and ensures the smooth operation of the Student Government Association’s First Year Council. Prior to her current position, she served on SGA’s Executive Council as the Executive Secretary and Director of Communications for the Vice President of Student Affairs. In addition to her SGA involvement, Josie is an active member of multiple honor societies and participates in community service organizations including Best Buddies and the Accounting Student Association. She is also a proud member of Zeta Tau Alpha. Josie’s dedication to service has made her experience at UA invaluable, and she looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the upcoming year!

Andrew Fairburn

Andrew Fairburn is a senior from Tuscaloosa, Alabama studying Healthcare Analytics on the Predental track. Andrew previously served the SGA as the Director of Environmental Affairs, and he currently serves the Predental Society as the Vice President for Community Engagement. In addition, he also served as the President for last year’s Cardinal Key class. He is extremely grateful to be a part of the 112th administration and eager to amplify the voices of all the students on UA’s Campus.

Johnny Foster

Johnny is a Junior from Fairhope, Alabama majoring in finance. During his time at the Capstone, he has served as a Senator for the Culverhouse College of Business, as a teaching assistant, and was on Freshman Forum. He plans to further the student experience here at the University of Alabama as Vice President for Academic Affairs by using his previous SGA experience and passion for service among his peers. He is excited for what the year holds and is eager to meet you!

Eric Doh

Vice President for Financial Affairs

Eric Doh is a senior form Montgomery, Alabama majoring in Finance with a minor in Real Estate. He began his involvement in SGA as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Vice President for Financial Affairs, Sullivan Irvine. After filling a vacancy for the Treasurer position in the Executive Cabinet under Jill Fields, he was reappointed to the position for the Martin Administration. Eric is so excited to create new relationships and work his hardest to serve the students as best as possible!

Samad Gillani

Samad Gillani is a junior from Hoover, Alabama majoring in finance and economics with a minor in information technology. He has previously served as a Councilor of SGA’s First Year Council and Deputy Chief of Staff for the 111th Administration. In addition to his involvement with SGA, he is a member of the First-Generation Scholars program as well as a member of Delta Sigma Pi Business fraternity. He looks forward to talking with you and hearing your ideas about connecting our campus and community through a focus on engagement, enhancement, and extension of resources, services, and partnerships.

Olivia Frazier

Olivia Frazier is a junior from Birmingham, Alabama, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Criminal Justice who plans to attend law school post-grad. During her time at UA, she has served as Secretary of the 27th SGA Senate while representing the College of Arts and Sciences. Outside of SGA, she has served as a member of the Alabama Panhellenic Association Recruitment Team. Her experience in the 27th Senate fueled her passion for student government, and she is honored to have the opportunity to continue working to enact more positive change on campus to benefit students here at the Capstone in every way possible.

Bella Loia (She/Her)

Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Bella Loia is a junior from San Jose, CA, majoring in Operations Management with a minor in Supply Chain Management. She has been actively involved in various leadership roles on campus, including serving as the Director of Inclusion and Outreach for the SOURCE, the Director of Outreach for UA Homecoming, and a DEI officer for on-campus organizations. This year, Bella is excited to extend her impact to the Student Government Association as its Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She is committed to driving change and creating a more inclusive campus community. Bella looks forward to collaborating with students and faculty to achieve this goal. Her enthusiasm for this opportunity is contagious!

Meghan Haran

Meghan is a senior from Orland Park, Illinois majoring in International Studies with a minor in Russian. She has previously served the Student Government Association in multiple capacities including as a member of The Lobby Board, Director of Communications for the Vice President of External Affairs, Chief Administrative Officer, and now as Chief of Staff for President Collier Dobbs. Outside of SGA, she serves as the President of Zeta Tau Alpha, and Director of Public Relations for UA End Overdose. She is also a member of multiple honor societies on campus including The XXXI, The Order of Omega, Order of Alpha, and Rho Lambda. Meghan is incredibly excited for the initiatives the 112th Administration is planning to implement, and is grateful to play a role in continuing the SGA’s legacy of “Students serving Students.”
