Taryn Geiger

Chief Advisor to the President

Taryn Geiger is a senior from Bethalto, Illinois majoring in Psychology with a minor in Biology on the Pre-Medical track. Previously, she served as a two-term Senator for the College of Arts and Sciences, through which she held the roles of Secretary and Speaker of the 27th Senate. Outside of her SGA involvement, she serves as Co-Chair of the Greek Strong Taskforce, Programming Coordinator in Project Health Peer Education, and Undergraduate Researcher. Taryn is eager to work with the Dobbs Administration to build upon the work from the previous year, while supporting the 112th Administration to help enact change across campus to unite our student body!



Caroline Mace

Caroline Mace is a senior from Gulfport, MS. She is studying political science and economics on the Pre-Law track. Caroline previously served in SGA as a member of Lobby Board and as Director of Lobby Board. During her time at UA, she has been involved in Not On My Campus, Greek Ambassadors, Elliott Society, Cardinal Key, and the Pre-Law Student Association, as well as the executive board of Chi Omega. She is thrilled to be a part of the Dobbs Administration and serve as Chief Administrative Officer.



Adam Philippe

Director of Communications

Adam Philippe is a junior from Mandeville, Louisiana majoring in Advertising with a minor in Management. He is currently beginning his second year with the Student Government Association and previously served as the Deputy Director of Communications. Beyond his involvement in SGA, Adam is the Assistant Firm Director for Capstone Agency, a Senior Account Executive at Capstone Agency, an Art Director in the Minerva Creative Portfolio Program, and a member of the Alabama chapters of the American Advertising Federation and the Public Relations Student Society of America. Adam is excited to serve as the Director of Communications for the Dobbs administration and looks forward to promoting all of the organization’s initiatives and events.



Nick Tolbert

Nick Tolbert is a senior from Gardendale, Alabama majoring in Political Science and Philosophy. Within SGA he has previously served as the Co-Director of First Year Council, Co-Director of Lobby Board, and a member of Lobby Board. Outside of SGA, Nick has served as the President of the Pre-Law Student Association, President of the UA American Enterprise Institute, Editor of the Capstone Journal of Law and Public Policy, and a member of the Blackburn Institute. He looks forward to furthering the great work of previous administrations and is honored to have the pleasure to contiinue to serve the student body of UA!



Malea Benjamin

Malea Benjamin is a senior from Pell City, Alabama. She is currently double majoring in Communications Studies and Political Science on the Pre-Law track. Entering her fourth year in the Student Government Association, Malea has previously served as a First Year Councilor, a member of Lobby Board, and an Associate Justice on the Student Judiciary. Outside of her involvement in SGA, Malea currently serves as a Greek Ambassador, Director of Campus Outreach for UA Student Homecoming Board, a member of Blackburn Institute, a member of Vote Everywhere UA, a Leadership Fellow for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the former Vice President of the Theta Sigma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Additionally, Malea is a member of multiple honors societies including The XXXI, Anderson Society, Blue Key, Mortar Board, Omicron Delta Kappa, Order of Omega, Rho Lambda, Lambda Sigma, Phi Eta Sigma, Cardinal Key, and Pi Sigma Alpha. Malea is elated to serve as Director of Engagement and looks forward to increasing student involvement and awareness within SGA.



Emily Kinsey

Director of Programming and Advancement

Emily Kinsey is a senior from Richmond, Virginia majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in Political Science on the Pre-Law track. She is also part of the Accelerated Master’s Program, simultaneously working towards her master’s degree in Communication Studies. Previously, she served the Student Government Association as Director of Engagement for the Vice President for External Affairs and Director of Programming and Advancement for the 111th administration. Outside of SGA, Emily serves as Captain for Bama Dream Team, a collegiate branch of the non-profit Dream on 3. Within her sorority, Phi Mu, Emily has held positions as a Philanthropy Assistant, Affiliate Chairman, and is currently a member of the DEI Committee. She is also a member of Blue Key, Mortar Board, Order of Alpha, and Lambda Pi Eta honor societies. Emily is eager to get to work with the rest of the Dobbs Administration to support and grow UA’s students, campus, and community to its fullest potential!



Teegan Mathey

Director of Environmental Affairs

Teegan Mathey is a junior from Aurora, Illinois majoring in Environmental Science on the STEM to MBA path. She previously served in the Student Government Association on the Environmental Affairs cabinet as Deputy Director of Environmental Affairs. Outside of SGA, she currently serves as Director of Outreach for UA Environmental Council, an ambassador for the STEM Path to the MBA program, a member of University Stewards, as well as Environmental Chair and Parliamentarian for her sorority, Delta Zeta. She is also a member of several honor societies including Order of Omega and Cardinal Key. Teegan is honored to serve as Director of Environmental Affairs under President Dobbs and his administration, and she is excited to promote sustainability and conservation on campus and the wider campus community!



Katerina Werkhaven

Katerina is a senior from Nashville, TN majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science on the STEM Path to the MBA. She has previously worked as the Assistant Director of IT and Webmaster under the Martin Administration. She coordinates any updates to the SGA website as well as promotes accessibility to all students at UA. Outside of SGA, she is the team lead for Big Days of Service in the Center for Service and Leadership as well as the president of the UA chapter of ASME. Katerina is excited to serve the Dobbs Administration this year through her role as Director of IT and Webmaster.



John Mclendon

John McLendon is a senior from Sandy Springs, GA double majoring in Finance and Econ. He previously served the Student Government Association as a Senator for the College of Culverhouse throughout his sophomore and junior years. Outside of SGA, he is a member of CAMS and serves as the Vice President for Delta Chi. John is excited to take on the role of Attorney General and looks forward to serving the student body!



Sarah Beth Corona

Sarah Beth Corona is a senior from Birmingham, Alabama majoring in Public Relations and Political Science with a minor in Social Innovation and Leadership. Entering her fourth year in the Student Government Association, she has previously served as a First Year Councilor, College of Communication and Information Sciences Senator, and Chief of Staff to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Beyond her involvement in SGA, Sarah Beth is the Director of Judicial Affairs for the Alabama Panhellenic Association, President of The XXXI, a member of the Blackburn Institute, and a University Fellow. Sarah Beth is honored to serve as Press Secretary for the Dobbs administration. She is excited to build upon the work of previous administrations, work with student and university media, and ensure clear communication and collaboration between SGA and the campus community!


Abilene Morthland

Abilene Morthland is a senior from Tuscaloosa studying Spanish and philosophy with minors in neuroscience and the Randall Research Scholars Program. This is her fourth year of involvement in the student government, having previously served in First Year Council and the Student Judiciary. She enjoys painting



Jack Rudder

Speaker of Senate

Jack Rudder is a junior from Saint Louis, Missouri studying mechanical engineering. In his first year in SGA, he served as a CoE Senator and, this year, serves our SGA as the Speaker of the Senate. Apart from SGA, he is a part of SCNO and is the Recruitment Chair for Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Jack is ecstatic to lead the Senate and make the most out of this wonderful administration.



Allison Pope

Allison Pope is a junior from Edmond, Oklahoma studying creative advertising with a minor in cyber criminology. She is serving her first year with the Student Government Association as the Director of Strategic Initiatives. Outside of SGA, Allison is the Director of Programming for the Black Student Union, an Assistant Team Leader for the Center for Service and Leadership, a Justice for the C&IS Academic Honor Council, an Ambassador for the Black Faculty and Staff Association, as well as a member of the Blackburn Institute. Allison is honored to serve the Dobbs Administration and the student body during her time as the Director of Strategic Initiatives!



Chase Cowart

Chase Cowart is a Junior from Birmingham, Alabama, majoring in Public Relations with a concentration in Digital Communication. Within SGA, he previously served as the Director of Engagement for the Vice President of External Affairs. Outside of this involvement, he serves as the Webmaster of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, the Director of Community Outreach for Public Relations Society of America, a Strategist at Capstone Agency, an Ambassador for the College of Communications and Information Sciences, and is member of the honor society, Phi Eta Sigma. He is excited to work alongside the incredible leaders within the Dobbs Administration, and serve his fellow students of the Capstone!



Cate Brownlee

Cate Brownlee is a junior from Great Falls, Virginia studying business marketing and digital consumer engagement. Cate has previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff under the Vice President of External Affairs. Outside of SGA, Cate currently serves as the Vice President of Zeta Tau Alpha and is an active member of the Business Honors Program, Delta Sigma Pi and other business related group on campus. Cate is honored to serve Collier Dobbs and the University of Alabama student body once again within the Student Government Association and cannot wait to get to work!.



Tyler Le

Deputy Chief of Staff

Tyler Le is a junior from Birmingham, Alabama majoring in Management Information Systems with a double minor in Business Cyber Security and Sales. Aside from his role as Deputy Chief of Staff, Tyler is the Secretary of the Interfraternity Council (IFC), a Culverhouse Ambassador, a member of the First-Gen Legacy Scholars Advisory Board, and an Annexstad Leaders for Tomorrow Scholar. Tyler is proud to support the offices of the Dobbs Administration and looks forward to serving the students of the Capstone in its entirety this year!
