Clay currently serves as the executive vice president. He is from Huntsville, AL and is a junior majoring in history with a minor in civic engagement and leadership. He is a member of the fraternity Phi Gamma Delta and is in many different honor societies across campus. In his spare time, Clay loves to read, hang out with friends, and play basketball. Clay loves government and politics. The last two summers he has worked in Washington, D.C. for Senator Richard Shelby and participated in the Mount Vernon Leadership Fellows Program. He is a third-generation student at The University of Alabama and plans to attend Law School after graduation

Jason Rothfarb is a junior from Johns Creek, Georgia. He is majoring in political science and minoring in communication studies. Jason is serving as our Vice President for Student Affairs and is very excited to work with students from all around the Capstone. A fun fact about Jason is that he always has Jelly Beans in his office!

Allison is a junior studying nursing and is excited to serve as the new Vice President of Academic Affairs. Growing up in Tuscaloosa, the University of Alabama has always meant a great deal to Allison, and she is honored to be able to serve and give back to the University that has given her so many great opportunities. Allison is excited to continue the legacy of past successful VPAA’s while beginning new initiatives that will promote positive change on our campus. She is looking forward to hearing input from all students on how to effectively change the future of academics at the University of Alabama.

Hunter is currently a junior studying psychology and biology. He is from Birmingham, AL and previously chaired the Senate finance committee. Hunter is looking forward to helping every student organization apply for SGA funding!


Brooks Payne

Brooks currently serves as the Vice President for External Affairs. He is a Junior from Enterprise, AL majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in Political Science. He is Vice President of the fraternity Phi Delta Theta and attends Calvary Baptist Church and is a member of different clubs and honor societies across campus. In his spare time, Brooks enjoys keeping up with the news, being with friends and family, and working at his family’s pizza restaurant. Brooks enjoys all things related to government and politics. The last two summers he has been in Washington, D.C. working for Senator Richard Shelby and in Enterprise, AL working for District Judge Chris Kaminski. He is a third-generation student at The University of Alabama and plans to further his education at The Capstone at The University of Alabama School of Law after graduation.

Alex Sample is a senior from Ponte Vedra, FL studying public health while on the pre-physician’s assistant track. As executive secretary, Alex is eager to help the student body invest in making the campus a better place! She previously served as director of communications to the vice president of external affairs and most recently was one of the executive directors of engagement. Alex hopes to attend either PA school or law school upon graduation and work as a Physician’s Assistant in Neonatology or become a Public Health Attorney. She is grateful to be involved in SGA and is looking forward to making a difference here at the Capstone.

Demarcus Joiner is currently a junior studying in civil engineering with a concentration in pre-law. He is from Roanoke, AL, and is serving as vice president for diversity, equity, and inclusion. One of Demarcus’s favorite things to do is sing. Demarcus is looking forward to working with many different student organizations to make the campus more diverse and inclusive.

Savannah Stewart is a junior from Newport Beach, California studying operations management and marketing at UA. She is currently serving as the SGA chief of staff, and her previous student government experience includes being a first-year counselor as well as deputy chief of staff. Outside of SGA, Savannah is a part of Capstone Men and Women and the University Fellows Experience.
